Hi, I'm Lexi!
I am a special educator and disability ministry leader passionate about teaching churches how to support and share the gospel with individuals with disabilities.Â
Why? Because only 5-10%Â of the worlds disabled population is effectively reached with the gospel.
In Matthew 9:27-28, Jesus said to his disciples:“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
Jesus’ words still ring true today — the harvest is abundant, but too many are still unreached. Every child, every teen, and every adult with a disability deserves the chance to know and experience the love of Christ in a way they can understand.
That’s why I created The Adapted Way — to equip and empower churches with the tools, training, and confidence to reach every individual. Through adapted curriculum, practical strategies, and ongoing support, The Adapted Way helps ministry leaders move from uncertainty to confidence so that every person, regardless of ability, can fully belong and grow in faith.
Together, we can close the gap — and make sure every person hears and experiences the good news of Jesus.

I've been involved in disability ministry within churches and camps in Canada and I worked in Special Education there too. But I never found anything like this. My son is profoundly deaf, a wheelchair user, and has cortical vision impairment. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been an easy way for him to access the Bible curriculum our church uses. However, the resources at The Adapted Way have been incredibly helpful. Thanks to these resources, the classroom volunteers and other children are able to present the story visually using familiar pictures that are also part of his AAC device at school. It has been such a joy to see him fully included and supported in the classroom at church.
