Adapted Bible Curriculum
Our Adapted Bible Curriculum is uniquely designed to meet students where they are, sharing the gospel in a developmentally appropriate way for learners with disabilities. Our curriculum is designed with non-speaking students in mind, so we've made sure to pack our lessons with visual supports, communication aids, and hands-on activities, ensuring every child has the opportunity to engage and experience God’s Word.

Our adapted bible curriculum includes a full year worth of adapted bible lessons to use in your disability ministry. There are 52 lessons total, including both Old and New Testament stories.Â

I love this curriculum! I love that it is a format that students are already familiar with because of school and I love how simple it is for me as the director to print and prepare and for our buddy team to arrive and look over and implement. Prior to using Adapted Way, I was taking the curriculum our other students were using and trying to make adjustments and make it work for our kiddos but it was so frustrating! This has saved me so much time and mental energy. We have seen students go from not really being able to say anything about their Sunday experience to having an application activity that they love and being able to quote the memory verse in their unique way!

We firmly believe that no learning need should ever be a barrier to a child experiencing the gospel. That’s why we’ve thoughtfully designed inclusive components to every lesson to ensure that you are able to include every student in our lessons, leaving no one behind.

My son is profoundly deaf, a wheelchair user, and has cortical vision impairment. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been an easy way for him to access the Bible curriculum our church uses. However, the resources at The Adapted Way have been incredibly helpful. Thanks to these resources, the classroom volunteers and other children are able to present the story visually using familiar pictures that are also part of his AAC device at school. It has been such a joy to see him fully included and supported in the classroom at church. I am deeply grateful for this curriculum and pray it will continue to deepen his unique way of understanding the Gospel.
