Hello! I'm Lexi

Special Educator. Advocate for inclusion. Your behavior bestie.

I teach churches how to accommodate and share the gospel with kids with disabilities.

I know what it feels like to struggle with the stress and overwhelm of trying to start or sustain a thriving disability ministry.
Only a couple of years ago I was right where you are

Just like you, I wanted to understand the secrets to successfully managing challenging behaviors and adapting lessons in a way that students would really understand.

My first year teaching, I was overwhelmed with behaviors that I didn't know how to handle. I was full of doubt, wondering if I'm really capable of teaching students with significant learning needs. And frustrated about feeling like no one else cared.

I needed a road-map to behavior management. A manual for how to train my staff. A step-by-step guide for how to adapt my lessons.

I was determined for the next year to be different... and it was

What I learned that next year could have only been learned from real-time experience in the classroom.

And it got me thinking...

How many churches struggle with the same things I struggled with my first year teaching? Overwhelmed with challenging behaviors. Not knowing where to start when it comes to training volunteers or adapting lessons.

And how many kids with disabilities are not hearing the gospel due to lack of knowledge, confidence or care?

I believe that

every child should have access to the gospel, regardless of their abilities.

And have spent the last 7 years dedicated to this belief, immersing myself in caregiving, teaching and forging close partnerships with families to champion their children's journey. My educational experience, coupled with hands-on teaching experience in an intensive needs class, equips me uniquely to guide you in serving every student that walks through your doors.

Why I do it

I've been in your shoes

And I want to teach you EVERYTHING I've ever learned through being a caregiver, direct support worker, disability ministry leader and special education teacher about how to partner with families, manage challenging behaviors, adapt bible lessons and train your staff so that no barrier will stand in the way of a child accessing the gospel.
